Things to do for Father’s Day
Father’s Day is coming up this weekend! Let these resources help you plan the perfect day for the amazing fathers in your life!
Father’s Day Glassblowing
June 16 – 18
Make a sculpted glass paperweight for Dad during a class at Decatur Glassblowing for age 18+ (or age 10 with an adult). Paperweights must cool until the next day. In this group class, students will get to make their own sculpted glass paperweight for only $46 per person. Following the demonstration, each student will go through the steps one-on-one with the instructor to create their own piece. There will be a variety of colors available to choose from when making your paperweight. This is an intro to glass experience – so no prior knowledge of glassblowing is needed. You can choose between a round, flat, or twisted paperweight.
Father’s Day at the Zoo
Dad deserves a Zoo day! On Sunday, June 18, fathers enjoy free admission with purchase of any regularly-priced child’s or adult’s general admission ticket. Regular price general admission tickets may be purchased online and in-person at Zoo Atlanta Admissions. Dads may also enjoy the Zoo free if accompanied by a Zoo Atlanta Member.
